i can't modify values using any overclocking software !!
i'm unable to modify certain settings in software such as msi afterburner for evga precision xoc. i don't understand why these values are restricted. the ones i can't change are core voltage, power limit, temperature limit, and fan speed.
if those choices aren't present, then your videocard is secured in BIOS or your card has an unusual device identifier that the afterburner can't identify. Either way, flashing GPU BIOS from various manufacturers (msi, gigabyte, etc.) might fix the issue, though it carries a risk of damaging your card.

if those options aren't present, then your videocard is likely protected by BIOS or the card uses an unusual device ID that the afterburner can't detect. Either way, flashing a GPU BIOS from various manufacturers (MSI, Gigabyte, etc.) might fix the issue, though it carries a risk of damaging your card. I'm having trouble updating my BIOS—it shows an error about EFI system partition failure. Does this relate to the problem?
i'm curious about how a bios update would explain this message, but it doesn't seem to affect your overclocking settings on the gpu. also, the mainboard and gpu bios are different things.
