I have around 320 gems on Steam and I don’t want them. I’m stuck and can’t do anything useful with them. I’d like about 1200 minutes to get a booster pack, which isn’t worth it since you recycle more cards than you earn. I just sell cards now and don’t care about leveling up—I’m already at level 62. Can I ask Steam to remove them on a ticket? People have tried this with OP pins from CS GO, but they usually said no.
You can convert trading cards into gems, which was part of the 2014 winter sale but still possible. Then use those gems to purchase a booster pack for a game you own. A booster pack typically provides 3 to 5 cards based on the game's card count. It seems like a waste since it’s meant for acquiring unnecessary cards, but it can be used as an alternative to buying new ones—just for leveling up badges instead.
