NEWBIE here...
I think this might be feasible:
I want to use a stock image (crest with banner & text saved in AI) and modify some elements, enlarging parts and adding others.
When I open the first image, the selection tool only lets me adjust its size and proportion.
Is there something I'm not seeing?
Appreciate your assistance!

Did you intend to refer to the phrase "when I first open the image"? In my view, "1st image" suggests there are more images available; 2nd, 3rd, etc. And on those images, additional editing seems possible? Not certain. Which edition and version of Adobe Illustrator (AI) are you using? Source? Stock image(s) - source? My main concern is that you might have come across some copyright protection.

Thanks. I found out on the Adobe forum that the AI& EPS files must be "filtered" into vector or standard content to work properly. Also, jpegs don't help.

And your post might get labeled as "solved" - that's correct.
