I can work without images.
I just installed the new motherboard (b450 carbom pro) and CPU (ryzen 5 2600x). All connections are secure and working. The system boots up, but I’m linking it to my TV via HDMI using integrated graphics. A red light on the side of the motherboard stays on—this isn’t part of the RGB setup—and I’m not getting any signal to the TV. I’m still using the same hard drive, so I’m unsure what’s happening. There’s a flash BIOS button, but I have no idea its purpose since I haven’t used it before. Do I miss something or need to follow a specific step? Any advice would be really helpful.
The motherboard lacks an integrated GPU. It works with AMD APUs but doesn't include built-in graphics—use a dedicated graphics card or APU.
You’re likely fine as long as you secure a GPU. It’s a solid step toward your goal, and saving up now won’t prevent you from needing other upgrades later.
