I reside in a new apartment building and face an unusual WiFi challenge. They installed a range extender in my room to improve signal strength, but the network isn’t visible on either of my two laptops. On my phone, I can easily connect, and I see other networks on my devices. However, the extended network isn’t showing up at all. I can still access the 5GHz network directly from the same router, though the signal remains weak. The extender only supports 2.4GHz connections, even though my laptops have a dual-band adapter (Killer Wireless-n/ac/ac 1535) that works on both bands. I’ve reinstalled drivers, adjusted the preferred band, restarted my computers, and manually added the network, but nothing resolves the issue. My laptop models are a Razer Blade Stealth and a Dell XPS 15. I’d appreciate any advice on how to troubleshoot this problem.
