I shared some time ago about the PC not powering on, and I’m still trying to identify the cause. My thought is it might be related to power or PSU/connectors, especially since I have an ASUS Rog Strix B550-A with a Corsair RM 750x PSU. The motherboard has both an 8-pin and a 4-pin connector for CPU power, and I’ve been using only the 8-pin since installation. I’m curious if skipping the 4-pin could affect the CPU or motherboard, especially given occasional voltage fluctuations in my area. Could this be the problem?
Check for any issues with the plug, wires, or power box if you're connecting one.
I connected it to an ups but also tested it directly in a wall outlet without success. There was no visible damage or burnt wires. I noticed that when the PC shut down due to a power outage, it didn’t start right away—sometimes I had to unplug it, wait a bit, and then try again, which worked this time. This process took about a day or two; I unplugged it for that duration and haven’t received any response since.
