I just powered off my PC and came back after an hour. I was surprised to see a blank screen and five beeps. My system specs look like this: ASRock B355M-HDV, 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM, Intel i3-9100 non integrated GPU, and an RX 580 with 8GB GPU. The build seems to be made from various salvaged components within a 100-mile radius. After some testing, I realized the RX 580 isn’t responding on any other machine. Should I really discard it or is there something I missed?

Usually the GPU stops working suddenly while everything else functions. I haven’t really tried to troubleshoot GPUs yet. Do you have another system you could test the RX 580 on? Maybe a friend’s or a used one under $20 could help. If you don’t have friends, you might find a prebuilt unit around $775 and try it out. It seems your PCIe slot might be dirty—spraying it with isopropyl alcohol could resolve the issue. The first slot didn’t show anything, but after cleaning with 99% IPA it worked perfectly.

Tested on a few outdated computers that still function, and yes, the GPU keeps refusing to appear. Every machine reports "GPU not detected." I got one from a junkyard—specifically an old GTX650 with 1GB RAM—and it’s still working on my system.
