GPU: EVGA gtx 970 SSC ACX 2.0
CPU: fx-6300
Running simple games such as Garry's Mod shows my GPU or CPU doesn't reach full capacity, with clock speeds between 600 - 1200 MHz and low FPS around 25. Even in CS GO I don’t hit max performance, getting about 100. My Unigine Valley score was 2982 using ultra and AA off at 1920x1080. My card is stock and hasn't been changed... someone can assist!

The GPU temperature is around 600 - 1200 MHz, and the CPU is running at 3600 MHz.

Other games behave similarly?
I don’t recall it clearly from the beginning. Unigine Valley was around 73c, and Metro 2033 ran okay despite some issues.

My temperatures while playing GMod were about 30-40 degrees. I'm providing rough estimates; I don't remember them clearly and I'm not currently playing.

it seems like a poor CPU and GPU setup; if possible, switching the CPU to an Intel i5 7600k would significantly improve performance and allow for overclocking.
