Hello friendos. So I've been looking to upgrade my Ryzen 5 2600 since its been a year and was wondering whatd be some good choices? My friend suggested a Ryzen 5 3600x due to it being on sale for the same price of a 3600 right now (269$CAD). But I'm open to all suggestions. here's my pc at the current time. GPU: Radeon 5700XT 8GB Evoke CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 (With Scythe Mugen 5 Rev.B) RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666mhz PSU: Corsair CX550M MOBO: MSI B450m PRO-VDH

3600x works well, particularly when priced similarly to a 3600. Ensure your BIOS is current for compatibility.

Upgrade the BIOS before changing the CPU to 3600x as recommended. The B450 would probably require a BIOS update for 3rd generation Ryzen support. Also, if you don’t have one, consider using a M.2 Gen 2 drive for storage—it’s much faster than a standard SSD.

It would have been better to ask earlier, but honestly, based on what my system is doing now, the upgrade shouldn't make much of a difference. Should I wait?

It really depends on the situation. I’d likely keep running the 2600 for another couple of years or so, adjusting based on its purpose. However, I also tend to stress my equipment before making upgrades.
