Will you cut the cable through the opening or install it first and then make the hole? Using a biscuit jack could simplify the process.

Are you sure you want to finish it yourself? It’s actually quite simple and the equipment is affordable. Be sure to include the "pass through" connectors, as they simplify the crimping process. The setup seems to be ready here.
