Need assistance with Windows 8 on an Asus X450CC laptop? It’s running slow and most drivers are built for Windows 10. I’m upgrading to a new SSD soon because the HDD is too slow, so I might revert back to Windows 8 anyway. The switch happened because my brother’s old laptop stopped charging, and he gave it to me. His system has an i5-3337U, 8GB RAM, and GT720M, but I’m unsure why he upgraded it. Also, my GPU usage is low when playing LoL, so I looked up advice.

Some tips:
- There are no Windows 8-specific debloaters I’ve found—only Windows 10 ones.
- Unscrewing stripped screws can be tricky; rubber bands often don’t fit well, especially if you need to remove the HDD screw.
- Installing the latest drivers for hardware in Windows 8 is risky—check if they work first, or start from scratch.

Bonus questions:
1. Is there a Windows 8 debloker?
2. How do you remove a stripped screw?
3. Should I upgrade drivers in Windows 8 before installing new ones?

Visit the site and save the ISO file from Microsoft. Use a tool like RUFUS to add it to a USB drive (a DVD can work too, though not ideal). Follow the installation steps. Sign in and download the necessary drivers, which you can find on ASUS's website. Regarding the extra points: 1.) I don’t know much about this, but Windows 8 is less bloated than Windows 10. 2.) There are specific utilities designed for it, though a more robust driver might be preferable. 3.) Make sure to install the newest drivers; there aren’t usually outdated ones needed, and updates often include drivers automatically.
