I tried to set up a server using the old PC components. Everything seems fine now, but I’m stuck in the command prompt from Gnu Grub. The installer said I needed the latest version and it got into a loop saying "version name" then "ubuntu-server tty1." It’s not a full system restart, just the command lines appear too fast for me to read.

It’s simple to set up a Debian-based system. Just read the instructions carefully. There’s no additional info available to assist further.

It's clear if you're aiming for Ubuntu Server, just grasp basic IP to CIDR concepts for static IPs. Most settings remain unchanged unless you modify filesystems, partitions, or other configurations.

Consider enrolling in a course or learning sessions about how the Linux operating system functions.
