His storage setup includes a 120GB SSD and a 500GB HDD connected via SATA 2 at 6Gbps. The issue seems to stem from the recording software or settings causing stutter despite having ample storage.

The bitrate being targeted is relatively low, which can cause noticeable CPU delays during recording if it's set too high.

On GameVR it runs at half size with 720p resolution, 60 frames per second. The file size is around 10MBPS, the hard drive supports 120MBPS read speeds and 100MBPS write speeds.
