I began practicing siege a few months ago. I only have around 200 hours on Steam. My skill level isn’t high—I struggle to secure any wins in ranked matches. Last season I earned three golds, but I don’t think I’m that strong. I was carried and my kill/death ratio was 0.7! This year it’s the same. The enemy timing is so precise they catch me every time. What should I do to improve? People in ranked suggest reaching 100 levels by playing casual first, then moving to ranked. PS: In a ranked game my stats were 0 kills, 1 assist, and 7 deaths—that’s how bad I am. Thanks for helping!
Focus on casual gameplay, boost your stats to 100, and switch to ranked mode for improvement.
It's not limited to the Rainbow 6 siege, but applies to any game or real-life scenario. Improve your performance! I've spent 1000 hours in TF2, yet I still struggle sometimes, though it's less when I first started. Experience builds expertise; if you've faced a challenge before, you'll handle it better next time. Keep playing and developing new abilities until you reach proficiency.
Check the available maps and announcements. Look for a site like https://www.r6maps.com/ to explore. Join a group or friend circle to connect easily, as you can build relationships in a relaxed setting.
I'm on plat 3 but used to be on plat 2, though I think playing is the best way to learn. Ranked seems ideal since you choose your starting position and spawn spot—no need to wait for others to hit level 100, just focus on bombside and place selection. Callouts would be helpful to study. Just keep playing; if you're underranked, you'll fall until you reach the right level and then start climbing again! Good luck! Also, if you're in EU, we can try a few games together if I'm free from World of Warcraft, haha.
I believe I'm already part of a clan, but they're better than others and it's not going well, so I'm planning to leave soon. My real friends actually play CS:GO.
Observe calmness and stay protected on YouTube. Many viewers break down the game and share advice. Form a group with your team. Watch experienced players in action. Notice their techniques. Use drones for better views. Don’t always mark opponents when you spot them—you already know their location. Stay mobile, stay connected, and communicate effectively. All these skills can be picked up by listening and observing teammates on video.
