Recently I've encountered problems with certain games. My screen often freezes with artifacts, a green background, or both, followed by a complete system restart (Kernel Power Event 41). It's hard to pinpoint the exact issue. I've adjusted the clock speed settings, tried DDU, Furmark, and hwinfo—both confirm my GPU and system are healthy. I've also turned off MPO in the registry. Could this be related to outdated drivers or a faulty GPU/PSU? Or is it something else like an old HDMI cable (I've used one since 2018)? Please help, thanks very much. All components are new.

Build details:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz, 6-core
- Motherboard: MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB), DDR5-6000 CL30
- Storage: WD_Black SN850X 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4
- GPU: Gigabyte GAMING OC Radeon RX 7800 XT 16 GB
- Case: Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
- PSU: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750 W (80+ Gold)
- Price: £1096.33 (shipping, taxes, discounts included)

The results show everything is working correctly on Occt, so it doesn’t suggest a driver problem.

Run tests on 3D adaptive and VRAM using standard configurations, ensuring each session lasts over 30 minutes. For suspected driver problems, use DDU to update to an older driver.

A solid choice would be a recent stable release with active support. Check community forums or official documentation for recommendations.

I experienced random green screen crashes with this exact card. Reducing voltage helped for a while, but the problem reappeared after several months. The fix came when I replaced the GPU—though Gigabyte sent it back saying they couldn’t find any issue. It was a relief, thanks!

I saw in the adrenaline app that the default setting is a bit overclocked, like 2610+ instead of the usual 2565. It only makes a small difference for me, so maybe I should get a new HDMI cable and hope it solves the problem.
