Budget amount: 15K INR
Country: India
Games & usage: Primarily Genshin Impact and possibly Witcher 3. Stream occasionally (1080p).

Current configuration: Ryzen 5 3600 MSI B450, Tomahawk Max, 16 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz CL16, iCHILL X3 RED, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, Gigabyte GP-P850GM, power supply Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB (M.2) + WD Blue 250GB SSD, Zebronics Zeb-Enyo chassis, 2x DeepCool CF120C fans, Acer Nitro QG221Q 21.5", monitor, Lenovo Ideapad M100, mouse, HP GK320, TP-Link Nano AC600 USB Wi-Fi adapter.

Notes: Setup functions well but slows down with many browser tabs or simultaneous Twitch streaming and Genshin playback. Motherboard condition is uncertain—RAM upgrade not possible. If more RAM is added, dual-channel failure occurs with red light activation; booting in wrong slots triggers warnings. Only RAM slots 1 and 2 appear stable.

Potential issues: Processor, motherboard, or Wi-Fi adapter. Any advice would be appreciated.

The issue seems to be hardware-related—possibly the CPU, RAM slots, or motherboard. The performance drop might mean you need more RAM or the CPU is heavily used. Use Task Manager to identify the problem. If you require extra RAM, consider purchasing two 16GB sticks. For the CPU, you can opt for a 5600 but must update the BIOS as well. Focus on identifying faulty components by testing specific parts. Insert ram in the correct slots and execute a memory test. Try running the test without altering other components. For browsers, consider using an extension like "simple tab groups" to manage data storage efficiently.

Thanks for the feedback. I refreshed the bios to 7C02v3H from the provided link. Tested each RAM stick in slots 1 and 2 – they work with BIOS and Windows boot. Slots 3 and 4 don’t load BIOS, even with dual-channel. The "This is not optimized" warning appears for dual-channel pairs. XMP remains enabled, but I haven’t confirmed slot issues yet. Could be a hardware fault or tight CPU screws (I loosened them slightly). For a memory test, I use Waterfox; it usually shows up when idle. If upgrading, you might need to replace the board or CPU.

MemTest86 Official Platform Used to check RAM issues...could be useful. Current specs show 16GB now replaces 8GB. 8GB isn't ideal for gaming. Consider upgrading to 32GB for better performance and longevity. This setup is future-proof.
