I'm searching for reliable wifi adapters after experiencing issues with 5GHz models on Windows 10. Many reviews mention poor performance and short lifespans. I'm unsure if the problem lies with the product or my selection. I'd appreciate recommendations from trustworthy sources for quality adapters. Thanks ahead and have a great day!

the electrical setup in your home is in good shape, but the router's placement relative to your PC matters. you might find success using a powerline adapter instead of relying solely on wifi, though results can vary based on wiring and distance. i managed to get by with roughly 14 meters of wiring plus a floor above.

This adapter stands out as my best option for PCIe Wi-Fi device. I'm excited about testing the one from qnap as well.

I was seeking guidance on wifi adapter cables and stumbled upon your inquiry... perhaps it's late, but here’s the scoop. I’ve managed to use the Alpha adapters to capture a 750' signal from my neighbor for three years. https://www.alfa.com.tw/ If you connect it to an Alpha router, you can turn it into a wireless signal for various devices, as one adapter suffices unless boosted and routed. The Alpha options are impressive. I’m finding the problem lies in the cable quality and how well the connections fit together—difficult to locate dependable, durable active USB extension cables. If anyone has suggestions on trustworthy, well-made Active USB 2 cables, that would be great. https://www.alfa.com.tw/
