Hello! I'm the owner of an LG Gram laptop from 2018 with an 8th-gen I5 processor. It seems the device is experiencing heat problems and possibly thermal throttling. Since it's used for heavy multitasking, I thought about taking it to a service center, but none of them accept laptops from South Korea. I'm worried about damaging it during the repair. Do you know how to open the laptop safely?
A solid beginning. I managed to scratch my finger on the underside just once. The fan blew compressed air out, and afterward it was tough to tell if it was working properly—it was pretty impressive. Laptops vary widely; some have no screws at all, letting you remove half the bottom of a case, while others require 20 screws and another five under the keyboard. Without seeing it or having a photo of the bottom, it’s really hard to judge how tricky it is to get inside. You also don’t provide a model number.
