I burned my EVGA NVIDA 2080.
Hello, your EVGA NVIDIA 2080 has suffered damage to the port where the heat sink and fan connectors are attached. This issue may be fixable depending on the extent of the burnout. Check if the components can be replaced or repaired. Otherwise, it might be best to consider disposal. Let me know if you need more details. Thanks!
Hi, Did you purchase this item directly from the store or are you buying it secondhand? The model details match EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER BLACK GAMING, 08G - P4 - 3071 - KR. It doesn’t appear to be an RTX 2080 version. Seems like someone has already performed a repair on the card.
You just had a burn yesterday. You haven’t tried any fixes yet because you’re new to that. The item was purchased from Amazon about four years ago. The warranty info on EVGA shows it as 2800 RTX and mentions it lit up on the side. Any chance it’s still usable or is it a total loss?
PCB is damaged but still functional; it’s safer to keep it as a spare or discard it. The issue was that it melted through multiple layers, especially the inner ones, which caused the burnout.
I think getting a second view would help, though I feel it might not change much based on what I mentioned earlier. When a burn reaches beneath the surface layer of a PCB, it's often impossible to fix it. Still, it's hard to say for sure.
