Hi!, I recently upgraded from a Ryzen 5 2600 with the standard cooler to a Ryzen 7 5800x paired with an ML240L V2 RGB liquid cooler. When trying to boot, my computer doesn’t power on at all. On the motherboard, the EZ Debug status shows a bright red light for the CPU. I’ve reset the BIOS multiple times by removing the battery, but nothing changed. I also attempted to reinstall the new CPU, yet everything remains the same. All the CPU pins look fine and everything is connected properly, but the machine still won’t start. There’s a small amount of thermal paste left on the board. Could this be the issue? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
I haven't updated the BIOS yet. Please confirm if you've done so before proceeding with the CPU installation.
Do you have the previous CPU? If yes, set it up and upgrade the BIOS to the newest release.
