I believe your mainboard has a short circuit.
My CPU was delivered yesterday and I connected it to my machine right away. As soon as I connected the AC power, the fans and the CPU cooler activated without me pressing the button. The Power RS cable wasn’t plugged in either. I checked the power supply and RAM, everything looks fine. The computer shows no output or signal. I reset the BIOS by removing the 3V battery and waiting ten minutes, but that didn’t help either. My CPU model is a Ryzen 5 2400G from CeX. Anyone knows why there’s no output and why it powers on automatically? I don’t have any other online guides for fixing this issue.
You won't be able to salvage it—it's doomed. It's best to proceed with the replacement before causing further damage, like crashing the CPU or other components.
I’ll proceed to remove the board and examine the location of the damage to understand what’s happening. If needed, share clear photos of the affected area. There’s a chance it might be fixable, but based on your description, it seems unlikely. Please do that and let’s review it together.
I verified the situation and confirmed there were no physical injuries.
Did you take out the board from the case and examine the back? The area where it touches indicates the location of the short, and it doesn’t need to be on the front for the damage to appear. You’ll have to remove the board (you’ll need to do that eventually) and inspect it from both sides. I assure you there will be something visible if everything matches what was described.
