Hello everyone, I’m reaching out for assistance. This week I powered on my computer and noticed strange random pixels appearing across my desktop (refer to the image). I promptly updated my drivers using the NVIDIA app, choosing the studio setting since I mainly edit on my PC. After that, I ran a quick antivirus scan and updated my AMD CPU drivers. I’m not entirely sure if this happened after a restart or multiple restarts, but once I booted up, the system displayed a boot issue message with images attached. I also tried reseating the GPU, but it didn’t work. Around that time, I observed the screen displaying many wobbly lines across it (see image). A day later, I restarted again and managed to log in to Windows. The resolution appeared distorted, around 240p, but I entered Windows +R (Run) and opened dxdiag, which returned an error related to my graphics card (error 43).
Other actions I took include holding the motherboard reset button on the I/O shield for 10 seconds, flashing a new BIOS, and getting a security key prompt after the reset (possibly because I flashed the board). However, shortly after, the jiggly lines reappeared. I found a tool called ddu but couldn’t use it because it warned me to enter safe mode, which I haven’t managed to do.

Yes, download the DDU utility to your desktop and install the newest Nvidia driver from nvidia.com. Disconnect from the internet to avoid automatic updates during installation. Reboot into safe mode by holding Shift during the restart command. Navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart and select option 4 to enable Safe Mode. Once in Safe Mode, run DDU from the desktop and choose the removal option for Nvidia drivers. After completion, reboot to exit Safe Mode. Reinstall the downloaded driver and reconnect to the internet.
so A little update: i was able to run ddu in safe mode, i installed the gpu drivers, and it all seemed fine, now quite a while later after a restart of my computer i’m having the same problems again, you can see in the picture its bugging out at the motherboard splash screen stage, and go’s back into the searching for solutions screen. what should i try next? I’ve just verified the NVIDIA app and it shows no driver is installed, even after installing it. - I’m also encountering odd pop-ups; adding extra images works, but I can share any details you need to assist. - Occasionally I manage to log in to Windows, but other times it crashes completely when I try to start.
