I set up OS X on an SSD successfully. When connecting the Windows drive and disconnecting the OS X drive, it prompts me to choose a boot device. Since I have an SSD for storage and believe the Windows installation media might matter, decide which drive you want to use as the primary boot source.

Open BIOS settings and verify the hard drive appears first among bootable options.

You're referring to your internal hard drive. Which one are you using? Doing this might prevent you from starting the operating system.

You need to access UEFI and set your HDD priority in the boot order. This determines which drives the PC tries to boot from, starting with the first one listed. If the system can't find your OSX SSD or Windows HDD, it will fall back to the next in the list. Make sure only the relevant drives are included—remove any extras like drive D unless you're certain about your motherboard. This setup applies to your Asus Sabertooth as well.

Set up the bootloader first before disconnecting the USB. Reconnect it, start the operating system, then utilize MultiBoot from the Tonymacx86 forum and complete the installation.
