my friend provided me with a collection of Windows 7 CDs that included all versions. it lets me upgrade to Windows 10 without needing activation and everything functions smoothly. i’m mainly worried about using it on a brand new system, around 12900k with top-tier hardware. will it hold up? i haven’t experienced problems with this copy before, but it feels a bit artificial. i obtained the CD in 2011 and it still works perfectly. i just want to be sure it’s safe for future use. i can install this version on any PC countless times without activation worries—it’s already set up. i also recall Vista requesting a serial number, but this Windows CD doesn’t ask for one.
