I believe I could have a fried CPU.
Old PC was an itx build I made two years ago using a B660M-ITX with 13700k, 6800xt, and 2x16 DDR4 3600. I’m not sure about the PSU. After adjusting the BIOS, I restarted and it stopped working every time I reset the CMOS and turned it on. When I pressed the power button, I heard a small click from the PSU. I bought a new PSU, case, MOBO, and RAM. Now I have an Asus Prime B760M-A with 13700k, 6800xt, 2x16 DDR5 6000 and RM850x. It doesn’t need a CMOS reset to start fans briefly before shutting down completely, and there’s no GPU output visible. All PSU cables are securely connected. Should I replace the CPU? Should I check the CPU for bent pins? Could I try installing one stick of RAM? My best guess is the CPU might be dead, but I can’t confirm the other parts because I don’t have a spare CPU to test. Please advise.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! You might consider removing the discrete GPU and testing if display works through your motherboard's ports since your processor has an integrated graphics unit. Should I check the CPU for bent pins? Yes. How are you keeping the processor cool? Should I try using a single stick of RAM? I used a 1 RAM stick, but nothing worked. The GPU was iGPU, and there was no activity. All the RAM slots were in use.
Checked CPU, MOBO, 1 stick RAM, CPU power, MMO power, AIO cooler power. Tried jump, fans spun up for a second then stopped immediately. No display output.
