I noticed a video suggesting GIGABYTEs Qflash led should blink during BIOS flashing, but it’s just lighting up steadily. What should I do? Is it safe to shut off the power supply and retry? The Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4 is rated for Mb.
It's tough, updating BIOS but it doesn't support flashback features. Are you certain the USB drive is inserted into the right port with the correct label?
Select the appropriate system because you might have picked a different model with Wi-Fi, which uses a separate motherboard. Even if the specifications match, compatibility can vary.
The issue arose because I connected a USB 3.2 drive instead of an older 2.0 model. I simply turned off the motherboard, switched to the proper drive, and then followed the same steps using BIOS files from gigabytes. I worried about damaging the board if I powered it down before it did, but after an hour it didn’t shut itself off and I just unplugged the PSU. It worked. My computer booted up, and I won’t need to do a BIOS flashback again. A lot of stress.
