Hi everyone I have a computer with Windows 10 S installed. This means the software is only available inside the Microsoft Store. I am looking for apps that can find differences between two photos or two files to see if they match perfectly. Thanks so much, best regards

Why stick only to Windows 10 when you can try newer versions like Windows 11 or even build your own custom operating system for free?

It's just a small piece of my system. If I don't have the right software, I'll try to "unlock" Windows.

I am a little unsure about what you need overall. But if you want to check if two files are identical by comparing their bits using PowerShell, I think the Get-FileHash command can help here. Here is a link: https://adamtheautomator.com/get-filehash/ If that Get command doesn't fit your needs at all, then for sure I would need more details from you.

Online tools let you spot the differences between pictures without sending files anywhere. You can check your images using a site or an app to see if they match, like with Diffchecker. It lets you compare JPGs, PNGs, and other photo types for free. If you want to keep things private, use the desktop app instead of going online.

I need two separate apps. First one takes two photos and shows where pixels do not match. Second app checks if two files have exactly the same content without any differences. I know how to use PowerShell, but it does not work on Windows 10 or later because of a security feature called UWP.

Thanks for your ideas, since I know them well. I'll check if these work on Windows 10 or look for other choices instead.
