I am looking for suggestions to set up my very first game console PC.
I have bought some cheap computers before as a kid, and for about seven years now, I own an Hp Omen gaming laptop with a 1060 card. Now that I finally have some money saved up, I decided to build my own gaming PC instead of buying another one. I like the idea because it lets me upgrade things later on without losing flexibility, and it's easier to fix if something breaks. After looking at everything, here is what my current setup looks like:
7500F or 7600X is actually much better than what you might think the numbers mean. Those fancy labels don't always tell the whole story, and some models are just rougher around the edges like a "bastard" processor. The Trey version comes without coolers and isn't really built for the same kind of heavy-duty use as those big boxes. Also, stick with Kingston KC300 because it works twice as fast with your computer's operating system.
You should definitely buy a better power supply unit. Ideally, look for ATX 850W gold rated units with at least 7 or 10 years of warranty. Good examples are the Corsair RMx 3.1, Adata Core Reactor II, Seasonic Focus GX (2024), Seasonic Vertex, and FSP VITA GM. If you can't find one for a fair price, try the Core Reactor VE, Seasonic Core GX (2024), or Corsair RMe (2025) as your best bets. You also should get a 2TB M.2 drive. The 7500F is a great budget gaming CPU that has 32MB of L3 cache just like the 7600 and 7600X tray, meaning it doesn't come with fancy packaging, just a CPU in a cardboard box. F means there are no integrated graphics, so make sure to enable PBO in the BIOS and you will get several percent more performance for free.
So which country is it then? Why do I keep asking this? Because every nation in the EU has its own store of goods and its own tax rates...
It is just a bit more than what you see in stores here. I looked at everything locally and figured that's how much things cost.
I'll most likely be getting the 2TB instead. I would like to ask about the power supply, do you recommend upgrading because of low wattage? I'm asking since the ones you mentioned don't seem to be on stock at the moment, and they're more than twice the price. The one I have listed is rated B tier on the PSU tierlist, so I would love to get more information on that if you have the time. Thank you for your help! Tierlist: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...RB...1973454078 I've also managed to find this psu for a decent price: BE QUIET System Power 10 850W BN330 Is this one good for my system?
Here are a few ways to cut costs. The links point to the official websites where you can buy these parts for less than what is listed: https://www.eponuda.com/maticne-ploce-ce...a-19703625 and https://www.eponuda.com/racunari-proceso...a-23227429
Thanks so much for the tips! I will definitely check out that motherboard option. Maybe I'll pay extra for the new processor because having an extra integrated GPU is nice if I ever need one. What do you think about the power supply stuff we talked about before? Would a Be Quiet system with 10,850W Gold be a better pick? It's only about $40 more than the other choice, and it looks like it will last longer into the future. Should I go for that one or stick with what you suggested?
