no need to run such high frame rates.. if your monitor is 60hz then you can vsync and maintain a steady 60fps which is ideal. For tomb raider it works best on amd gpus, so turn off the other settings and try to keep over 60fps. Anti Aliasing is crucial for me in multiplayer games, vsync isn't suitable when performance drops below 60fps, I should lower quality for video mode in the game. Your advice, should i upgrade my GPU or not?

I believe your expectations are a bit too high. Overclocking won't ensure smooth performance at over 60fps in Tomb Raider with AA enabled.

My experience was that overclocking TomebRaider gave me 71fps in Min with Ultimate Settings and Anti Aliasing 4x, but at Stock settings I got 57fps at Min.
Please let me know if you're still concerned about overclocking your GPU.

Only be concerned if it's overheating. Just search for instructions on how to properly overclock your graphics card.

If it's getting too warm, just check a guide for properly overclocking your graphics card. I'll stick with the stock setting then. Thanks everyone for your help!

I don’t have a water block; I’m using just the ACX 2.0 cooler with its powerful fans. Sometimes I reach over 1700 MHz, but never go past 45 degrees Celsius. It’s an excellent overclocking setup. I bought it recently and pushed it hard earlier, which caused it to crash. For best results, start with Precision X instead of any other overclocking tool—those aren’t made for your card and might cause issues as I’ve seen with MSI Afterburner. But for the safest start, I’m using my SSC 970 with a +100MHz clock, +100 MHz memory clock, and +6mV, leaving everything else alone. Going higher could lead to instability; this is the most stable overclock I’ve found so far. Please try it and let me know what you experience.

Kriselkins shares his experience with an overclocking setup. He uses the ACX 2.0 cooler with powerful fans, achieving temperatures below 45°C. He recommends Precision X over other tools for compatibility, suggesting a base clock of +100MHz and +100 MHz memory clock with +6mV. He advises starting high but warns it may cause instability. He ends by wishing him luck and a nice day.

I have successfully reached an overclock and am very satisfied now. After getting my team dark pro at 3333mhz memory, I managed to push it just under 3000mhz with stability regardless of the load. It took some time to get it right. Once I did, the GPU and memory both reached +100 with only a slight voltage and power increase, boosting performance by 10-11 FPS in all scenarios at 1080p with high settings. No VSync needed. The temperature stayed below 57°C even with the fan at 70%, and it improved from 32-34 FPS to 46-49 FPS just from the overclock—very impressive. This setup feels great and runs smoothly.

I was struggling with this AsRock Pro 4s, an i7 6700, 8GB Team Dark Pro DDR4 at 3333mhz, and an EVGA GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0 system that I built. Now I can relax knowing I got good value for the money. It runs Unigine Valley at the highest settings in 1080p, with frame rates ranging from 47 to 125 FPS depending on the scene, usually around 55-60 FPS.

Sorry, GPU is operating at a steady 1631 MHz while memory usage stands at 7210 MHz.
