In crossfire games I experience high temperatures—around 90°C on both GPUs with fans running at full speed—and the case's glass panel stays near 70°C. The S340 model offers very poor airflow, which is typical for Ryzen setups.
I previously ran the S340 with a 5700XT, but the case ventilation was very weak even with two 140mm intake fans—clearly they didn’t perform much. Adding two 120mm exhaust fans only made things worse. I switched to the Corsair 275r Airflow, though I don’t like the front filter access. It required removing the front panel, which is held by plastic pins that will eventually fail. The GPU temperatures dropped noticeably.
I think the S340's days are numbered, I'm thinking about moving into an H710 later this year so the R9 290s can breath and I can have the 280mm Kraken up top. With all fans maxed in the S340 there's still hardly any airflow. The situation is equally as bad in my H500 that houses an overclocked FX-9590.
You just received a 5700x build and flashed the Taichi X370 Mobo ROM from version 3.2 to 7.1. It started up fine. For BIOS adjustments, let me know what settings you want to tweak for optimal performance. Your graphics card is a 6900XT—good choice!
