I activated the OC Genie function in the BIOS.
Once I pressed it, I restarted my PC and all the fans and LEDs were working fine. However, the screen, mouse, and keyboard are not connecting properly with the cable. I tried removing the battery from the motherboard and putting it back in after a few minutes, but it didn’t help. There’s no button on the motherboard to turn off the OC Genie, as it’s a Z97 gaming3 from MSI. Can someone assist me?
By removing the CMOS battery, your system should revert to factory defaults... Perhaps give it another attempt and wait about ten minutes just in case it fully resets...
Also, usually those OC genie devices are quite reliable... They tend not to be overly aggressive with the reset process. I'm curious why this didn't work for you...
