I used to have a CPU with 5GHz at 90 degrees. Then I upgraded it to 3.99GHz and kept the temperature at around 70 degrees. I didn’t adjust the voltage settings, so maybe that’s the issue?

Consider adjusting the BIOS to an undervolt of -50 mV for better stability.

Also check out this video—how the position of the rad seems to influence things I can't confirm through undervolting, though it might still be useful. The other person has more insight on this topic than I do.

My friend positioned the radiator accurately.

To configure a -75 mV undervolt setting, begin at -50 mV and verify stability. Adjust according to your needs. Your display indicates a SP 60 rating, while your 10850K model shows a SP 63 rating. The standard voltage table for your CPU was probably set higher than necessary, which can cause additional heat.

I tested it at 5.0ghz and I see around 45 degrees on my desktop, but in the game R6 it jumps to 100 and I adjusted it to 0.075V.

Open the BIOS settings. On the Extreme Tweaker section, check the right side for your CPU's SP rating. A 10900K with an SP of 60 isn't ideal. A top-tier 10900K should have a much higher SP. CPUs with lower SP ratings require more voltage to stay stable compared to those with high SP. Some 10900K models offer SP 90 or above, which means they need similar voltage levels for stability. My 10850K has an SP of 63, indicating our CPUs are quite alike and will likely need comparable voltage. It runs fine but demands a lot of power and gets hot during overclocks above 5.0 GHz. Have you adjusted the Offset Mode Sign to minus (-) to lower the voltage? You might need to replace your cooler. Something seems off.
