Hi,
I'm currently comparing the Cloud 3 and the Razer Blackshark V2 wired. I'm torn between the two, but I'm leaning toward the Razer since I've heard HP's acquisition of HyperX might affect quality. The Cloud 3 costs more, but I'm trying to decide based on what I value most. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I just checked out the Cloud III and was really impressed by its construction — it feels much better made compared to the Cloud II. It looks and performs more refined and premium than the wired BlackShark V2, which is definitely a step up in style. I believe the BlackShark V2 has decent build quality, but the wire supports always seem a bit weak to me (lol), and I don’t like the neon green details.

When it comes to sound, both headsets are great for dialogue, movies, shows, and games, and they handle music well — though it tends to be a bit bass-heavy. I tend to favor Razer drivers over HyperX drivers for music, but the difference isn’t huge. I definitely don’t like Razer Synapse, though it does offer some control over the BlackShark V2’s EQ and similar features; HyperX’s NGENUITY didn’t make much of a difference on the Cloud III.
