Hyper 212 evo requires one fan for overclocking?
I tested push-pull on my hyper 212 evo, but it didn’t help much at first. After removing the rear exhaust fan, temperatures dropped slightly, though I still ended up using a single fan. It seems there’s no practical way to install a second fan unless aftermarket mounts are available for the 212 evo. A single fan should suffice for a decent overclock on a 4690k, allowing my FX 6350 to reach around 4.7ghz with manageable temperatures.
I'm not entirely confident about using an EVO, but if you do, keep an eye on the temperature closely. Adding a second fan could be beneficial.
