Your system shows mixed BIOS and hardware information. To verify the actual performance, check the system's running frequency in Task Manager or HWInfo64. Compare it with the BIOS-reported 3600MHz and see if it matches. The HWInfo64 reading of 1796MHz might reflect a different measurement method. Ensure your RAM is correctly seated and consider using a dedicated memory test tool for confirmation.
Data rate approximately 1800 Mbps multiplied by 2 equals 3600 Mbps
That's correct, DDR means something specific. I'm sorry you feel that way.
I encountered the same issue again. I was using an old setup, attempting to install a C2Q Q6600, and it caused me concern because the 666MHz RAM was only at 333MHz in the CPU.
It helps me feel a bit better. I hoped others hadn’t told me you couldn’t get all 8 sticks at 3600Mhz, so I assumed they might have missed it when I checked the HWInfo64. I’d prefer to think I could’ve assembled it if the specs showed 1800Mhz versus 1796.3, but maybe not
