A solid co-op/competitive title from the team that made Crysis. Resembles Monster Hunter with some PVP elements. Still incomplete, many improvements needed from the developers. I’d prefer to wait until it’s released in early access or goes on sale.

If not too costly it could work. The visuals are excellent. The gameplay is enjoyable at first, though I became tired quickly when playing frequently. It isn’t the kind of game I would play continuously for extended periods. The idea that if your character survives you carry over to the next games is a nice touch. I appreciate it. Weapons and items seem important. Ammunition counts often. There’s good tension throughout the game. The main drawback is Discord/Skype, which undermines the experience when using VOIP in-game—your voice is heard by your enemy if you shout, but they can chat while you’re silent, giving them an advantage. During pre-alpha testing people played fairly, but after cheating began and alternative methods emerged to bypass this system.

Hunt Showdown seems like a decent game, but there are around 800 players online right now.
This indicates its player base is quite limited, and since it's a buy2play title, most users have likely played it for some time. You'll need to wait before you can keep up.
Think about this before you begin playing.
