This HP has caused quite a hassle. I experienced freezing two years ago, which I could always fix by rebooting. After replacing one of the RAM cards, the issue disappeared. Recently, when I picked it up, the screen froze. I attempted to restart and it kept trying to perform an auto-repair, but the diagnostic tool didn’t find anything. Below are the listed errors.

Today I attempted to run Windows on a stick, but it failed to load. When I tried to install a repair, the outcome was identical to rebooting immediately after the freeze. I’m running out of options, especially since I’m not very experienced with PC repairs. I’m considering giving up and purchasing another refurbished laptop—it won’t be an HP. My current setup is an old Lenovo T520 running Linux Mint, which functions perfectly. The only drawback is that all my Windows software isn’t compatible.

What model is this? Have you attempted to reinstall Windows?
Refer to the error details at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answer...inload-efi.
For copying files, consider using Rufus to set up a Windows-To-Go installation on a quick USB drive and boot from it.
