Hey there, I've seen a curious issue with my HP Victus 15-fb2082wm (Ryzen 5 8645HS + RTX 4050) while playing Jedi Fallen Order. After pausing, disconnecting the mouse, and closing the lid, the laptop would shut down. On restart, the BIOS displayed a warning about overheating from a previous shutdown. Even though CPU and GPU temperatures stayed around 70°C and 78°C respectively, it felt like a false alarm triggered by the firmware or EC logic. I'm wondering if others in the 15-fb series have faced this problem. Have any BIOS updates, EC resets, or fan adjustments helped? Is this a known issue or just my machine? Thanks!

Thanks for your notice. I haven’t seen any bios update in the support assistant, and I did make a change to this laptop’s bios. It seems the issue might be linked to me shutting down the computer right after quitting the game when temperatures were near 70°C. The sensor could be confusing the sudden power cut plus the high heat, though I’m not sure.
