My Omen has visited HP repair in Texas twice recently… CPU stays hot even when idle, first time they swapped the air cooler for a water block didn’t fix it, second time they replaced the motherboard assuming the fan controller was faulty, but the same problem persists. At startup, temps rise quickly to 70°C, drop slowly when idle around 45°C, but running any app spikes it to 75°C. UEFI diagnostics show the fan doesn’t reach 80% or 100%, and error code 90B appears on next boot. The fan control in Omen Gaming Hub doesn’t spin up to turbo mode, even when set. Need to play games that push temps high—specs include Ryzen 5-5600X, 16GB DDR4, Windows 11, RTX 3090, SSD and HDD. Updated July 10, 2023 by GLN0781
