I changed my GFS computer's RAM to a 2x8GB package since the original came with just one 16GB channel. It worked perfectly once installed and booted into Windows. When I tried enabling XMP, it failed. I checked online that XMP doesn't function with any other RAM configuration besides the stock one, so I removed the CMOS settings and it posted normally. On HP forums someone mentioned you need to set the timings manually, which I did. After that, I cleared the CMOS again but still got no response. I also tried using a single stick in each slot, but nothing happened. I only swapped one kit at a time. If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated—I really need this.
