I improved my prebuilt RAM stick (8GB, 1333MHz) to dual-channel 16GB (3400MHz) and am curious about adjusting the RAM timings on my HP BIOS. I’m thinking about getting a new motherboard soon but want to see if I can tweak these settings now. It seems hard to locate the option and I’m not sure there’s another way. Any advice would be great! I also updated my BIOS via the HP Support Assistant, but I’m not sure if that covers everything.

OEM motherboards tend to be simple with minimal advanced options. Unfortunately, you can't modify them if they restrict changes. If you're determined, you might replace the OEM motherboard with a store-bought one for better performance. Handle power connections carefully when using an OEM PC.

That's what I considered, thanks for your assistance. I was thinking about a Gigabyte B450 AORUS Elite and a Ryzen 5 3600.
