Hello, I own an HP Elite 7500 MT. I'm satisfied with its performance as a desktop PC. I'm considering replacing it with a larger case, upgrading the power supply, adding a video card with two HDMI ports, increasing the HDD capacity, and have a few questions:

1. Does the power supply have special pins, connectors, or routing? Can any standard power supply work? Could using a non-standard supply risk damaging the motherboard?
2. The USB3 and USB2 connectors on the motherboard seem similar to other models. Do they have unique pins?
3. The F-panel description is missing from the manual. Is there any chance of damaging the motherboard by connecting it randomly to find the pins?
4. Can I upgrade the CPU cooler? Is the stock cooler specially designed for this PC and not easily replaceable?

This setup still appears to use a standard ATX power supply. They are typical components. Just locate the correct pins to ensure it boots properly.

Some notes: The cooler is usually attached to the case, so you’ll need to remove it to access the board. This machine includes sensors that identify an open side panel—you must connect them correctly or it will keep booting with errors.

The reason for swapping the case isn’t clear; adding a GPU with compatible specs would be a better option since dual HDMI is uncommon and often requires more work than just swapping a case.

A budget HDMI adapter (5-8$) can provide a second HDMI port, but it’s not as straightforward as using a standard setup.

Great! Thanks for your reply. I was considering upgrading because the new graphics card would require more power, and the current 300W might be insufficient. The case is small and tight, making it hard to swap HDDs during cloning. It looks worn with scratches, so I’d like a newer case with RGB lighting that’s affordable. How can I connect the video sensors properly? Are there any tutorials on YouTube about this?

They consist of just two connectors. You can find straightforward 2-prong bridge connectors for this purpose. Ensure the case you choose allows good airflow. Avoid cases with a solid front panel; opt for one with a mesh front instead. If you only need two HDMI outputs—one for HDMI to HDMI using an adapter—a simple new GT1030 will suffice. Alternatively, if you're comfortable with the used market, there are many alternatives available.

I changed the case, it was quite simple, just the front USB3 isn't working... any idea what to do?

Your board lacks a USB 3.0 header, which means the 3.0 front panel connector isn’t compatible. As a result, the ports won’t function.

That's incorrect. The board you're referring to has a 3.0 header, not a 7500mt board.

Your board 'IPMM8-FM' works fine with the original USB header, not the USB 3.0 version. You can use it as intended.
