HP 8300 4 Red Indicators...
I recently posted on the forum about getting a computer from a company that clearly didn’t prioritize data recovery. Now I’m facing a strange problem with the power supply—when I try to turn it on, it flashes red four times, warning me the “power supply is overvolted.” According to some forums, this happens. The weird twist? If I disconnect the 4-pin PSU connector, the fans get very loud and keep beeping four times before shutting down. I’ve tried everything a normal person would do: swapped out the PSU, changed the CPU, replaced the motherboard, removed RAM, stripped down to just the power connector, and even took out the motherboard itself. I’m convinced it’s fried, but I’m still hopeful. Just a heads-up—I’m not using this as my main machine, and I usually enjoy tinkering with used PCs for cheap.
