Some OEM motherboards could face CPU compatibility problems because they weren't originally designed to run specific CPUs, even if those CPUs were available as system options at some time.

HP presented the Z440 motherboard after the original Win.7 and 8 models, offering 256GB RAM and not restricting itself. This model appears in the updated manual for newer generations, featuring 2400MHz ECC memory. Usually, E5 series CPUs on this board support only 2400DDR4. My system upgrades from an 1650V3 to a 1660V4, and it performs adequately, mainly limited by my slower drives.
