I own a Lenovo G580 20150 and a Samsung NP270E5E.
I want to upgrade these devices for my younger cousins.
They plan to use the laptops for watching videos and movies.
I don’t have any ideas on how to proceed.
Could you help me out?
Thanks!

It seems you’d mainly be able to upgrade the HDD to an SSD, if you haven’t done so already, and maybe increase the RAM. There are many comparable models from Lenovo, but I noticed some appear to use a second or third generation Intel CPU, while the Samsung models seem to be third generation i3 processors. I’d likely install Windows 10 fresh on both systems. I’d spend some time adjusting the operating system settings, turning off or disabling background processes and any Windows services that don’t enhance the user experience. After that, set up an admin account for your brother or sister, and a standard user account for the younger ones so they can’t make changes or install software without permission (depending on their age). I’d also boost the User Account Control settings. It might be tiring for them over time, so it’s good to teach them how to revert if needed. Additionally, create a backup right after the clean installation and tuning, in case they encounter issues or download something problematic later.
