Based on our earlier conversation, I think my laptop is limited to a 1 m.2 PCIe drive, while the other should be a regular drive. I'm puzzled by Dell's explanation on their support page, mentioning Class 35 or Class 40.

Includes one M.2 NVMe storage unit and one 2.5-inch SATA connection, which may also accommodate HDD or SATA III SSDs.

Just ignore the classes, I'm all set with the standard M.2 NVME drive and can grab a solid 2.5" SATA. Great. Do you usually buy online?

A PCIe 3.0 device like the Samsung 970 EVO Plus would function effectively. For a 2.5", suitable options include the Samsung 870 EVO or Crucial MX500.
