Thanks. So I clicked on that and in the end it just takes me to my Godaddy Outlook 365 account with Godaddy support chat which doesn't have anything to do with Office. That would be great if there really was a true MSFT chat support option. EDIT: okay, again, just getting used to this MSFT license deal. So I need to sign in with a different email address I guess. One email is associated with 365 the other with Office.

The cost of an OEM licence is quite similar to a full retail one (possibly $20 - $30 lower), but if you see a significantly lower price, it might be worth questioning…
$40 versus $300+ seems unusual.
You can definitely purchase an OEM license.
However, if you obtain it from a source other than Microsoft, the agreement requires the original hardware to be included.

The key works properly now. The problem lies with my old Office versions, and Microsoft has moved my case to level 2 support.
