I plan to switch to an RTX 3080 when it arrives. My Ryzen 7 2700 might limit the GPU performance, so I’ll likely move to the Ryzen 7 3700X. My current board is the X470 Ultra Gaming, will it support the 3700X? Yes, it should. Installation would involve replacing the existing board with the new one and updating the BIOS if needed. After the upgrade, I’d run a BIOS update to ensure compatibility and stability.

Wait for ampere to actually launch and check how the 3080 performs and how the 2700 holds up with it, but at higher resolutions it shouldn't be too bad. but again wait and check how the 2700 holds up first. But to answer your question.. with a bios update yes. same as the 2700.. lol.

Aorus brings PSU's vibe to feel like a seasonal twist or something fresh.

The X470 motherboards support the 3700x, but it may need a BIOS update. Here's the link for that download page. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X47...rt-dl-bios I'd also suggest downloading a manual from that webpage as well and looking there to upgrade the BIOS. Motherboard manufacturers are all slightly different for how to upgrade, and that's the best place to check. In case it's needed, here's the link for the manual: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X47...ort-manual
