How to update bios
Using the BIOS update button works regardless of whether RAM or CPU is installed; just ensure the board is powered on. For flashing the BIOS via USB, follow these steps:
I already had the file on the drive, so I simply renamed it to MSI.ROM, turned it off, and then pressed the button—it began flushing and has remained stable ever after.
In reality, before proceeding, I downloaded the file from the website, extracted it, and kept only the bios file on the stick. Restarted and pressed the mflash button in my BIOS, then rebooted and completed the process. For what you see in the pictures, it seems I also performed a quick format of the drive along the way.
I work best with ports close to the Ethernet connection. It might not always be the case, but sometimes motherboards can be selective.
