How to turn on DLSS Multi Frame Generation on your RTX 5070?
I've recently assembled my new gaming setup and plan to try the first supported DLSS Multi Frame Generation titles like Hellblade II Enhanced. Since I'm unfamiliar with RTX, DLSS, and multi-frame generation, I'm unsure how to enable these features in games even on supported systems.
The only way to truly grasp these controls is by experimenting with the settings and observing their effects. Describing their appearance and behavior is quite challenging. It isn’t just about a simple frame rate figure. Be cautious when adjusting frame generation. You’ll likely notice an increase in screen numbers but still experience lag due to delays in creating the artificial frames. There’s always a balance to strike. If you can avoid upscaling and frame generation, that’s ideal. The main purpose of high frame rates is to prevent tearing and distortions when shifting your perspective quickly. Using upscaling and frame generation leads to blurring and visual artifacts. This topic is difficult to explain; you might find helpful YouTube videos that highlight what to watch for. Your best approach remains experimenting with the controls to see what suits you. Try to skip using a FPS counter on the screen, as the overall performance and visual quality are far more significant than the raw number. The key performance indicator is often the 1% low frame rate, which many tools overlook. These sharp drops in frame rate have a much greater impact on the game experience than an average rate. The main concern is that achieving a stable 1% low rate is extremely difficult and usually reflects poor implementation of the game’s code.
Choose your method by selecting the appropriate option in the game's interface or via the Nvidia application.
this was only due to the "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" choice...
it needs to be turned on for it to function correctly...
